EVOLUTION TO ELEVATION: a personal narrative II

In Feb 2009 I undertook my first solo show Evolution to Elevation: a personal narrative II at the Library Stairwell Gallery, National Art School Darlinghurst.

Here I posed the visual problem: how to install an exsisting work under new spatial parameters, whilst maintianing an engagment between site and installation; and establishing a visual dialogue through placement, space and fragment.

Within the show,  a new series of work – drawings and installations in paper collage, pins and foam core. For this exhibtion I employed the methodology of “problem solving” and recognised my practice as a process driven activity.  I continued my exploration of  the fragment; broadened my drawing skill set and began to diversify my technical understanding and visual percepetion.

Acknowledgments: Thanks to the Library Stairwell Gallery for awarding me the opportunity to undertake the show and for your encouragement and support.
